Jay has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, joining Maggie Valley Club in the fall of 2008.  Previously, he managed a collection of four East-West Partners Clubs in Jacksonville, FL.   Prior to his stint in Jacksonville, he was general manager of Roaring Gap Club from 1993 to 2005.  Roaring Gap is a private club in Roaring Gap, NC, known for its Donald Ross-designed golf course.  Manner's extensive experience  includes food & beverage manager and executive chef at such noted facilities as Forsyth Country Club in Winston-Salem, Jupiter Island Club in Hobe Sound, FL and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in South Hampton, NY.   Having close family in the area made the move from Florida an easy decision.  The Manners currently reside in Asheville.
