Acupuncture

Initial Consultation and Treatment 

2 hrs: $100
 
The initial consultation begins with a comprehensive health evaluation.  During which time we will discuss your chief concerns, and review your medical history.  Once a diagnosis has been made an acupuncture treatment will be given.  A treatment plan will be outlined for you, it will provide you with a clear idea of how many acupuncture sessions will be needed and how often.  
 

Follow-up Treatments

1 hr: $70

Include brief discussion of progress and an acupuncture treatment.  Other adjunct therapies that may be used include cupping, moving cups, electro-acupuncture, auricular therapy, scalp acupuncture, and Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage). The need for herbal therapy, nutritional counseling, and self care education is assessed with each visit.

Donna is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist .  Her specialties include pain management, nutrition, wellness and stress management.  She is board certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the state of North Carolina. Donna studied at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii for two years before transferring to Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico to finish her studies.  There she was trained as a primary health care practitioner in Oriental Medicine in a four year, 3,000 hour program focusing on Oriental medicine, Chinese herbology, and western diagnostics.  She graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine.  Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Science from Western International University in Phoenix, Arizona.
